Hide and Seek

Luke 19:10 (NIV): “For the Son of Man came to seek and to
save the lost.”
The Garden of Eden was a place of perfection and complete freedom.
Adam and Eve lived in peace. They knew no fear, no shame, no guilt, no hiding.
The introduction of sin, however, changed all of that. Scripture reveals that
when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, mankind went into hiding from God. Genesis
records that God came looking for man in the cool of the day and He called out
for His children. Adam’s response? “I heard you in the Garden, and I was afraid
because I was naked; so I hid” (Genesis 3:10). This is the travesty of sin. It
separates us from God and sends us into hiding from His holiness. God’s great
love for mankind, though, refuses to allow our story to end there. Even though
we may hide, He is always seeking. God loves you today. No matter what your
story is…no matter what your sins are, do not hide from the One who can help
and heal you. Expose yourself to God, and He will clothe you in His
righteousness and love.
Run to God today!
